This city is not only famous for it’s natural merits but also it’s Naval power. San Diego Naval Base is the principal homeport of the Pacific Fleet, and also the second largest surface ship base of the United States Navy. At here, we can take the harbor cruise ride and witness the world's most powerful aircraft carrier force. Next, we’ll have the chance to board on the famous “USS Midway Museum” . The USS Midway was the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th century. Named after the climactic Battle of Midway of June 1942. It’s also the first in a three-ship class of large carriers that featured an armored flight deck and a powerful air group of 120 planes. Right next to the USS Midway, you won’t miss the statue “Unconditional Surrender,” more popularly known as the “The Kiss” The 25-feet installation recreates the famous embrace between a sailor and a nurse celebrating the end of World War II in New York’s Times Square in 1945, the statue symbolizes embracing peace. Leaving the harbor, we will next arrive at the birth place of California “The Old Town” San Diego. It is a beautiful historical town, full of ancient Spanish buildings, churches, museums and authentic Mexican restaurants. Strolling the streets, admiring the characteristic shops on both sides of the street would make customers feel like living in the 19th-century Mexico. Last on our schedule, we will visit Balboa Park, which was established in 1838. It is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego. Finish today’s visit, we will take our bus and head back to LA.
